SPORTS JOURNALISM

My sports media career path began as a journalist when I was a student at UNC Asheville. I started writing sports articles for the student newspaper in 2019 and during my time with the paper I grew from a contributor to the Sports Section Editor within two semesters. In this role as an Editor I helped to revise the content that staff writers provided as well as give feedback and instruction. It was a great experience to work in a leadership role and to help the staff journalists become better writers everyday. During my time at The Blue Banner I thoroughly enjoyed getting to cover athletics in the community and university, realizing I love being able to showcase teams and athletes.
